UNDERGRADUATE ACCOUNTANT

Your role would be as a full-time Undergraduate Accountant working within the Accounting division alongside supportive team members with opportunity for further career growth.  

 

Key details:

  • Hours would be 37.5 per week working from 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday.

 

Key roles and responsibilities for the role:

  • Working with a diverse client base including providing support, tax and business assistance

  • Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software.

  • Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure

  • Corresponding with the Australian Taxation Office

  • Preparing employee wages

  • Managing employee expense claims

  • Assisting the accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly financials and tax returns

  • Reconciling bank accounts, bank statements and superannuation

 

Qualifications, skills, and experience required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting would be ideal

  • Experience with Xero would be beneficial

  • Good attention to detail

  • Accurate record keeping

  • Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office and Excel

  • Interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Communication skills, including the ability to explain financial matters

  • Proficient written and verbal skills
